Laser cutting is done by using high power density energy generated by laser focus. Compared with traditional sheet processing technology, laser cutting technology shows higher cutting quality, faster cutting rate, higher flexibility, and a wider range of materials. This can significantly reduce processing cycle time, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve the overall quality of the product.
Currently, there are three main application areas for laser equipment.
The first is processing materials for decoration, advertising, lighting, kitchen utensils and thin sheet metal. For this relatively thin stainless steel sheet, you can consider using a fiber laser cutting machine for cutting.
The second category of materials includes cutting plastics (polymers), rubber, wood, paper products, leather, and natural or synthetic organic materials. Since these materials are not metal products and have different absorption capabilities for lasers, it is best to use a CO2 laser cutting machine to cut these materials.
The third material is mild steel with a thickness of between 8-20mm and stainless steel with a thickness of 12mm. In order to achieve fast and instant cutting, this material requires the use of a high-power laser cutting machine. Therefore, buying a high-power fiber laser cutting machine or a high-power CO2 laser cutting machine is a good choice.
