What is the safety knowledge about laser cutting processing?

2024-09-13

When laser cutting technology is applied to the manufacturing process of metal materials, it can significantly shorten the manufacturing cycle, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve the quality of work.

In the process of processing, the "tool" used is a focused light spot, so there is no need to add other equipment or materials. As long as the laser can operate normally, long-term continuous processing can be carried out. At present, laser technology has been widely used in machinery, automobiles, electronics, chemicals and other industries. The speed of laser processing is very fast and the cost is very low. At present, laser is mainly used in mechanical processing for surface strengthening, cutting and burr removal of workpieces. Laser processing is automatically controlled by a computer, so no manual intervention is required during the production process.

Next, we will explain in detail the safety precautions that need to be paid attention to during laser cutting processing for all partners, as follows.

1. During the laser cutting process, if any abnormal situation is found, the machine should be stopped immediately, and the problem should be solved quickly or reported to the competent department.

2. In terms of cutting stainless steel, laser cutting machines usually use plasma cutting technology to process stainless steel and other related materials in China. Since stainless steel itself has certain corrosion resistance and high surface hardness, plasma cutting is generally used to cut stainless steel plates, but flame cutting can be used in some cases. Given the unique properties of stainless steel plates, its main manufacturing technologies include cold processing and hot processing.

The cold processing technology for cutting stainless steel mainly includes: sawing cutting, wire cutting, water cutting, shearing cutting, punching and drilling. Although the forming quality of these methods is usually high, their efficiency is relatively low and it is difficult to meet the needs of large-scale production.

The cutting technology of hot processing is mainly divided into two categories: plasma cutting and laser cutting. Among them, plasma cutting technology is mature and stable and is the most widely used. Compared with plasma, laser cutting has faster processing speed and higher efficiency, and its cutting quality is also superior, but its overall procurement and use costs are relatively high.
